How Lazy Are We As A Country?

How lazy are we as a country?  Here’s an example: frozen pancakes.

I’m amazed that such a thing actually exists.  Pancakes are not that hard to make.  All you need is flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, eggs, milk, and butter.  Mix it up.  Pour it in a pan.

If that seems like too much work for you, there are commercial mixes available.  For those you only need to add milk, oil, and eggs; mix it; pour in pan.

If even that seems too much work for you, there are commercial mixes available that only require you to add water, mix, and pour into a pan.

Should the above options turn out to be more than you can handle, don’t fret.  You can still have pancakes at home.  You can actually buy the pre-mixed, dry batter in a bottle at grocery stores.  Just add water, shake the bottle, and pour the batter into a pan.  In minutes you’ll be eating fluffy pancakes.

For some people, or possibly many people, even that tiny amount of effort is either too much work or beyond their culinary skills.  That is why there are multiple brands of heat-and-eat pancakes available in the freezer section.  I’m going to repeat that.  There are enough people who are unwilling or unable to take the few minutes to make pancakes at home that there is a need for more than one manufacturer to make and sell frozen, microwaveable pancakes.

It’s because of shit like this, America, that we are slipping.

Also, they never give you enough syrup in the frozen packages.
